We are very fortunate to have an expansive choral program at A.B. Paterson College, spanning all years from Prep to Year 12.  We offer choral participation within the Academic Music Program from Prep to Year 3, following which students may elect to continue their involvement in a co-curricular capacity.

Our current choral ensembles include Year 3/4 Choir, Year 5/6 Choir, Junior Boys’ Chorus, Year 7/8 Choir, A Cappella Boys’ Chorus, A Cappella Girls’ Chorus and Chamber Choir.  A number of performance opportunities are scheduled throughout the year for all choirs, both on and off-campus.  

Through participation in the choral program at A.B. Paterson College, students are given access to training that develops sound vocal techniques. They are also exposed to a wide range of choral repertoire, and develop artistic and performance skills, including how to express style and communicate with their audience. Students are also able to enrol in singing lessons with specialist vocal tutors, should they wish to develop solo performance techniques, or further enhance their understanding of vocal techniques taught in the choral context.
