In the literary spirit of Banjo Paterson, Library services at A.B. Paterson College aspire to develop a life-long passion for learning by immersing students in a culture of reading and literature. We also provide students with information literacy and critical thinking skills to navigate a wide variety of media, while maintaining welcoming and creative learning spaces for our College community.
The Library collection has an Australian focus, along with a generous balance of literary classics, award-winning authors, curriculum-relevant non-fiction and current periodicals and databases. Our libraries are active and exciting spaces at our College. We organise and participate in our College’s annual Book Week and the ALIA National Simultaneous Storytime, and host Scholastic Book Clubs and Book Fairs. We also invite students to become involved in a plethora of clubs, activities and contests within our libraries throughout the school year.
We invite all members of our College community to enjoy our spaces at the College. All community members are encouraged to create a library account and are welcome to borrow print and online resources.
The College Libraries are divided across two branches within the College. Both Libraries are open before school, at morning tea, lunch and after school.
