A massive congratulations to Year 10 student, Mimi Shen, who has been selected as the 2025 Youth Member for Bonney.

As an ambassador for Queensland Youth, Mimi will be collaborating with our local MP, Sam O'Connor, to amplify the voices of young people across Queensland.

We are incredibly proud of Mimi and look forward to following her journey with the YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament.

Meet Mimi - she’s in year 10 at A.B. Paterson College and has been chosen as our 2025 Youth Member for Bonney.

Congratulations to the 93 Youth Members chosen from over 470 applications to take part in this program.

For the next 6 months they’ll be working with their local MP, learning more about the part of Queensland they’ve been chosen to represent, and putting together Youth Bills with their ideas to fix the issues they care about.
