Last week our Year 9 Visual Art student participated in the Blue Tree Project, a meaningful initiative aimed at sparking conversations about mental health and encouraging people to speak up when they are feeling blue.
As part of this project, our talented students painted a dead tree on the College grounds, transforming it into a vibrant symbol of hope and support. The Blue Tree Project began in Western Australia and has since spread across the country, with blue trees popping up in various communities to raise awareness about mental health issues.
By painting a tree blue, we aim to remind everyone that it’s okay to not be okay and that seeking help is a sign of strength. We hope this beautiful blue tree will serve as a constant reminder to our College community to look out for one another and to speak up if they or someone they know is struggling.
\We are incredibly proud of our students for their creativity and their commitment to such an important cause. We encourage everyone to visit the blue tree and take a moment to reflect on the importance of mental health and the power of community support.
