Students were learning to understand directions and explain the best way from point A to point B. To test their learning at the end of this term, the students had to follow directions in Japanese around a pretend village. We gave directions in Japanese that said things like, “Go to the beach and then turn left. Go straight and pass between the mountain and school”. The way the students demonstrated this knowledge was through the use of drones.
The Elderslie Theatre became our village and the students proved they could indeed follow directions and navigate their way through a village.
Many thanks to Ms Beth Claydon (Head of Literacy & STEAM) and Mrs Jo Schaefer (Technologies Integration Manager) who supported the class to use the drones this week.
