Last Friday, our Year 2 students welcomed some very special guests to the College. The Gold Coast Suns and Dr Candace Kruger visited the College for the launch of their new children's book, Yalgan!

Yalgan takes young readers on an incredible journey through the Gold Coast, all through the eyes of football mascots Sunny and Skye. 

In its pages, the rich history, captivating stories, and vibrant language of Yugambeh jagun Country come to life.

Dr Candace Kruger also treated our Year 2 students to a special reading session, enchanting them with the world of Yalgan. But the magic didn't stop there! Thanks to the Suns' generosity, 120 copies of Yalgan found their way into the hands of our eager students and teachers!

For those keen to dive into the captivating world of Yalgan, you will find this beautiful book on the shelves of our Homestead Library and Lilly Pilly Learning Centre.
