NFL Flag Secondary Schools Championship

During the holidays, 10 of our A.B. Brumbies took part in the first NFL Flag Secondary Schools Championship.

After a tough start against two strong teams, Benowa State and Marsden State High Schools, our Brumbies found their feet (and the ball!), scored touchdowns and defended well to go on and finish 3rd in their pool of six teams.

Our Brumbies then played off against Wavell State High School vying for 5th or 6th position. A strategic and well-played game earned them a convincing win to take home 5th place overall.

Well done to Benowa SHS who took out the grand final by one point to earn themselves a place in Ohio at the International tournament next month.

Congratulations Brumbies, you represented the college outstandingly, showing true sportsmanship and courage on the field. We're incredibly proud of the effort you have put into training, throughout the term and during the holidays.

Thank you to Mr Paul Dilkes for coaching and all the staff and parents who took time out of their holiday break to come along and support the college community.
