We are excited to share that two teams from A.B. Paterson College proudly competed in the Mayor’s Technology and Innovation Awards. After a month of hard work and dedication, our students presented their innovative solutions to the community at last Thursday’s prestigious event.

These talented students have been working diligently to solve real-world community problems through technology and innovation. Their creativity and effort culminated in impressive presentations that left a lasting impact.

The innovative solutions:

• SmartSpender is a groundbreaking marketplace platform that supports Gold Coast consumers by offering real-time grocery price comparisons, personalised discount recommendations, and a food donation system. It helps local businesses thrive while tackling the cost-of-living crisis.
• Voyage is an AR and VR travel app that enhances the Gold Coast tourism experience by offering virtual tours, interactive experiences, and personalized recommendations, helping tourists connect with local businesses before and during their stay.
