Our young Basketball Brumbies were put to work early in August, competing in the Junior Secondary (Year 10) State Basketball Championships on the Gold Coast.
With one of the younger teams in the competition, our boys showed experience beyond their years to compete against bigger bodies. The boys went undefeated through the pool stages, including a miraculous comeback where they were down by seven with two minutes to go, claiming top spot before the knockout games.
After dominating wins in the Round of 16 and Quarter Finals, our boys went down to the eventual winners in a nail-biting Semi-Final. They bounced back quickly, ensuring they won the Bronze medal to claim the College’s Senior School placing on the male side of the competition.
