Rowing & Kayaking
The College offers recreational Rowing and Kayaking in the Senior School semester two sports’ programme.
The programme is conducted at the Coomera Watersports facility, which has excellent facilities and coaching staff. Rowing and Kayaking is held during the normal compulsory sports training session on Monday afternoons, and again on Fridays in the sport periods. The group usually consists of about 20 students, all of whom thoroughly enjoy the experience. Activities are aimed at providing a safe introduction to these water sports, developing a respect for the water, teamwork and fitness, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
The introductory course has resulted in many students participating in the club activities held on Saturday mornings, where the students have the opportunity to extend their skills and enhance their interest in either of the disciplines.
