The A.B. Paterson College netball program is the largest girls’ sport at the College, and aims to provide girls with limitless opportunities to develop both their netball and leadership skills, while learning the importance of team work in a safe and thriving environment.

Girls in Years 4–12 participate in the Associated Private Schools (APS) competition against seven other independent schools on Thursday and Friday afternoons. The Association strives to provide a friendly, yet competitive and spirited, competition for all students involved.

We work hard to build our calibre of coaches and umpires, with most of our coaches holding a Level 1 coaching accreditation. We also encourage and support past and present students in obtaining their coaching and officiating accreditation, to assist in the training of our junior teams.

2014 saw the ‘Big Sisters, Little Sisters’ lunch concept evolve with great success. Netball girls from all year levels are invited to attend a lunch together, which is put on by nominated teams for everyone to enjoy. It is topped off with girls from the Open teams running some fun team-building activities, which get the girls mixing and meeting new girls from other teams within the program.
