Towel Drive for AWL

As part of the Year 7 Service Learning Project this term, students are helping the Animal Welfare League by organising and running a towel drive.

This towel drive is a great way to help the charity by donating old and unwanted towels. These towels will provide warmth and comfort to dogs and cats.

Over the next two weeks could you please donate any old and unwanted towels by bringing them to the Collabrative Learning Centre and leaving in my office. Many thanks!

Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) CEO, Mark Peters today announced that up to 500 people from one lucky Gold Coast school community will have the chance to attend the Opening Ceremony rehearsal in the lead up to the official opening of the Games.

Students will need to show off their creative side by completing a colouring in sheet featuring the popular GC2018 mascot Borobi.

To enter:

  1. Print off copies of the colouring in sheet attached. Borobi will also be distributing these at future mascot visits and copies will be mailed to schools who have already received a visit from Borobi.
  2. Encourage parents to upload the completed artwork to https://www.gc2018.com/borobi-schools and complete the online entry form.

Please note: students may enter the competition as many times as they like, but must submit different artwork each time. Full terms and conditions can be viewed on the website.

Submissions will be accepted online until 20 November before a random draw is held on 21 November 2017 to choose the school whose students will get a first look at the GC2018 Opening Ceremony to be broadcast to millions of people around the world on 4 April 2018 from Carrara Stadium!
