You are invited to the opening of the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art South East Regional Exhibition showcasing the outstanding visual artworks of Senior School students. One of Australia's greatest living artists, Michael Zavros, is excited to be our guest speaker and is looking forward to seeing you on Saturday 25 August.

Year 10 Business students want your cash!
Over the next three weeks, new student businesses will be popping up all over the place, selling everything from plastic bottle pencil cases, to cookie dough balls, doughnut bites and oversized baked treats to share with friends.
So, raid the piggy bank, beg for extra pocket money, or start doing some extra chores – there are bargains to be had! Profits will support various charities.

Years 7-12 Pilates Sessions
There are a few spaces left for A.B. Paterson College students from Years 7 - 12 in the morning Pilates Sessions with Jo from Pilates 101, Northern Gold Coast.
The program, from 7:15am - 8am on Thursdays, costs $87 and will finish on 8 November, 2018.
Benefits of Pilates include an improvement in: Muscle strength and tone, Flexibility, Core strength, Muscle control, Breathing, Posture, Balance and coordination, Concentration and Energy levels.

Trivia Night: On Friday night we were taken ‘Back to School’ for our Parents & Friends Trivia Night. It was a fun night and we raised $1200 for our charity Bravehearts. I would like to thank everyone who attended, with special thanks to Katy Pastoors, Sarah Burr and Joanna Duggan for all of their hard work with the organisation and running of the evening and, last but not least, thank you to the following people for their extremely kind raffle donations:

College Musical: Work is already underway on our College Musical which will be held at the College. The matinee performance for invited guests is on Wednesday, 3 October and the evening performances are on Thursday 4 October, Friday 5 October and Saturday 6 October. The amazing wardrobe department is looking for help with dressing the students - if you have some time available can you please let me know by email email@example.com. I will then collate a list to pass onto the wardrobe ladies who will be in contact with you directly. Thank you.
Father’s Day: Our Father’s Day stalls will be held in the May Gibbs Courtyard and outside the canteen on Wednesday 29 August and Thursday 30 August. Our Thursday morning Book Club is dedicated to instilling a love of reading from an early age, while allowing families an opportunity to engage with other parents and children.
Join us to read books, sing songs and other fun activities. Families are welcome to obtain an A.B. Paterson College library membership and borrow books each week. The Book Club will be led by Lilly Pilly Teacher-Librarian, Stephanne Siberry. It is open to parents of current students, as well as parents from the wider community, wishing to learn more about our College and to spend quality time with their little ones.
(Due to allergies, Morning Tea will not be provided, but families are welcome to bring personal snacks to the library and we can eat together in our unique Gumnut Garden at the end of our Book Club.)

Stepping into the future
At the end of last Term, A.B. Paterson College Principal, Brian Grimes, announced that our College Board had made the decision to develop our next major building on our beautiful campus. The new building, which is yet to be named will sprawl three levels and be approximately 4,500m2 in size. To be located on the eastern side of our Hockey Oval, this magnificent building will be a state-of-the-art learning precinct.
