Prep Parents Morning Tea - 31 January

Friends of A.B. Paterson College (FAB) invites our 2019 Prep Parents to Morning Tea on Thursday 31 January, from 8.45am to 10am in the Rickard Administration building.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Prep parents and carers, share stories of Day 1 nerves and tears, make good use of our tissue supply and chat with members of our Senior Leadership Team.

We look forward to welcoming you into our A.B. Paterson College community.


Scholarship Information

Dear Parents/Guardians,

If your son or daughter is entering into Years 7, 10 or 11 in 2020, s/he is eligible to sit the ACER Scholarship test for the A.B. Paterson College Scholarship Program for academic or music scholarships.  Make sure you download the Scholarship Candidate Information Form from our College Webpage located here.

If you would like your child to sit the ACER Scholarship test on Saturday, 16 February, 2019, please register online  at http://www.abpat.qld.edu.au/page/scholarships

This page will allow you to access the ACER website where you can make your registration. More information about the College’s Scholarship Program is also available on the webpage above.

Registration will close on Friday, 1 February, 2019, at 4pm. Registrations cannot be accepted after this date and time.

STEM Punks will run two Immersion days at the College on:

  • Wednesday 19 December
  • Wednesday 9 January
  • 9am - 2:30pm
  • 3 classes per day

To make a booking for the Vacation Care program from Friday 30 November to Friday 21 December 2018 and Tuesday 8 January to Friday 25 January 2019, please download the Vacation Care Enrolment Pack from our website in Outside School Hours Care and complete and return the Booking and Permission Forms to Outside School Hours Care via email oshs@abpat.qld.edu.au

Uniform Shop News

 

All Year 10 blazers for 2019 are now in stock in the Uniform Shop. Please come and collect before the end of Term 4 2018.

If your child is commencing Year 4 or Year 7 in 2019, it is imperative that you ring and make an appointment with us to fit your child for the changes of uniform that occur at those year levels. The uniform shop back to school trading hours are below.

Stepping into the future 

At the end of last Term, A.B. Paterson College Principal, Brian Grimes, announced that our College Board had made the decision to develop our next major building on our beautiful campus. The new building, which is yet to be named will sprawl three levels and be approximately 4,500m2 in size. To be located on the eastern side of our Hockey Oval, this magnificent building will be a state-of-the-art learning precinct.

To improve our service to parents, the College has reviewed the Student Services phone number to enable phone queries to be directed to the relevant area of the College.

Parents calling Students Services on 55 614 137 will notice that this number now has redirection options:

  • 1. Student Absences;
  • 2. Junior School enquiries;
  • 3. Senior School enquiries; and
  • 4. Sport and Co-curricular Activities.

Please note that Student Services also has an email address for reporting student absences at studentabsences@abpat.qld.edu.au
