NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

Administrator Early Childhood Centre 

A.B. Paterson Early Childhood Centre is seeking applications for the position of Administrator. This permanent part-time role (35 hours per week) contributes to the administration of two services within the Early Childhood Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a caring and supportive community.

The Administrator is responsible for assisting and supporting the Director, Assistant Directors and Educators of the Early Childhood Centre.  The position provides the first point of contact with the Centre for the public, so it is imperative that the incumbent has exceptional service oriented skills, approach and attitude.

Applicants must hold a current Blue Card. It is also expected that applicants hold (or are willing to obtain) up to date asthma, anaphylaxis and first aid training.

College Nurse 

A.B. Paterson College seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high quality health care services to the College's students. This is a 2-year Contract position.

This position requires a Registered Nurse with the ability to provide professional and up-to-date health care to students and staff, and to be able to work as a sole practitioner in the College.

This is a 2-year Contract position working for 44 weeks per year (position is for Term Time and 4 additional weeks during set College holiday periods for Administration).

The College Nurse is a registered health professional who is involved in the primary health care of young people from those in Early Childhood Education to Year 12.

School Nursing is a specialised field of practice which involves primary health care, cultural competence, early detection and intervention, health promotion, prevention, health education, chronic condition management, environmental health and safety, emergency/crisis management, first aid, sports health, service delivery and resource management.

The College Nurse is a vital member of the College team that leads change to advance health and collaborates with staff members, parents and the community to keep students healthy and safe at school.

It is expected that the successful applicant will have a genuine commitment to an independent school ethos and to ongoing professional learning in the pursuit of best practice.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
