APS Netball Finals

Friday saw the Open B girls play off for 3rd and 4th place against Somerset College. Having previously won by one point in their last game, the pressure was on to win again and secure third spot for the season. The girls started the game with a lot more belief than during the round, which resulted in an improvement in their game play. Though Somerset College proved to be very strong, the girls continued fighting until the last second. After being down by two points at the end of the first quarter, they were able to fight their way back and secure a 27-20 win come the final buzzer. Overall, it was a very enjoyable game, battling it out with a tough opposition like Somerset College.

A special mention to the Year 7B team (pictured right), who took out the premiership in a very nail-biting finish against All Saints Anglican School, taking the win by 1 point, 20 – 19. Congratulations to the Year 7B netball girls!
