Junior MakerSpaces

The first Years 4–6 Junior MakerSpaces have been meeting in the Collaborative Learning Centre every Friday afternoon this term.

MakerSpaces is a place where students can tinker, invent and create using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics).

Our first project has been to design and make a balloon-powered car. We have had lots of fun designing and building the cars and racing them to see which team can go the longest distance.

To finish the term, Junior MakerSpaces will be designing and printing a monogrammed luggage tag using the new 3-D printers.

Expressions of interest for students, who would like to attend Junior MakerSpaces next term, will be sent out shortly.
