Busy Start to Term 2 in the Lilly Pilly Learning Centre

In our Library sessions, we have been reading about the origins of the ANZAC Soldiers and reading picture books that reflect stories of mateship, sacrifice and hope.

The Prep students enjoyed reading The Pocket Dogs Go On Holiday, and talked about what they enjoyed doing on their Easter break.

Our Year 3 Researchers Club had a very enthusiast start, brainstorming with Venn diagrams and talking about how to approach our non-fiction research.

The Mum and Bubs Club learnt about French artist and author, Herve Tillet, I am a Blob, and created a Blob of their own.

Our Scholastic Bookclub, Issue #3, came out this week, and many students have been talking about their wish list for the Library and for their own collection.  Remember, this is due back this Friday, 28 April.

Happy Reading!

Melinda Parkinson – Teacher Librarian
