Following the conclusion of the Inter-House Swimming Carnivals, our 2017 Target APS Swim Squad was identified and then participated in a one-day Swim Camp at the Runaway Bay Sports Super Centre on 30 November 2016.
This camp provided our swimmers with an opportunity to fine-tune skills and techniques required to excel in competitive swimming. A special highlight of the day was an opportunity for our swimmers to meet Australian Junior Representative, Butterflyer, Laura Taylor. Laura shared some of her experiences and insight, whilst answering numerous questions on what it takes to become a champion swimmer.
It was a very successful day and learning experience, providing inspiration for our young talented swimmers.
Thanks to all College coaching staff and Matthew Stopel for making the day a great success.
