Classical Ballet Solo First

During the Easter holidays, Year 6 student, Kristen Seale, competed in a Classical Ballet Solo for the first time, in the 10/under section of the Starbound Eisteddfod, Nerang.  Congratulations go to Kristen who placed 1st in her section – a remarkable achievement given this was her first solo competition performance.

Kristen has been dancing with the Amanda Bollinger Dance Academy (ABDA) for Classical ballet for two years, but has been dancing since she was four years of age.

After participating in an International Ballet Workshop in January, Kristen received a personal invitation to compete in an International Dance competition in Canada from the renowned Jacques Marsa from the Paris Opera Ballet. Unfortunately, Kristen was unable to travel at that time due to a prior commitment.

Kristen also received an invitation this year, with her fellow classmate, Alissa Kouzmenkov, to participate in their studio’s (ABDA) Elite Program.  They also compete in 10/under and 12/under group Eisteddfods.

Kristen is looking forward to competing in more solos this year.

Congratulations once again, Kristen.
