Our College Libraries currently have three contests running that we would love students to be a part of.
The Lilly Pilly Learning Centre has a Reading Passport contest where students who read the 42 different types of books on the passport will have their photo displayed on the Hall of Fame in the Lilly Pilly Learning Centre, as well as, receiving some fun prizes. For more details on the contest, please read the instructions on the Reading Passport (to download click here) or contact Ms Stephanne Siberry in the Lilly Pilly Learning Centre.
Students who have entered into the Reading Passport Hall of Fame for Semester 2 2020 are:
Alana Liew – 2S, Emily Wong – 2R, Luke Williamson – 1D, Oliver Williamson – PH, Kaamil Shah – 1K, Rayyaan Shah – PL, Azlaan Haseeb – 1D and Eemaan Haseeb – 2S
The Homestead and the Lilly Pilly Learning Centre also are promoting the Premier’s Reading Challenge and the A.B. Paterson College Picture Book Writing Competition for Junior School Students.
The Premier Reading Challenge requests students to complete the School Reader Record Form (to download click here) by Friday 28 August and return to one of the libraries. Students will then be registered and will receive a beautiful certificate from the Premier of Queensland.
The A.B. Paterson College Picture Book Writing competition for Junior School students gives students the opportunity to write their own picture book. More details can be found on our flyer (to download click here) or contact Mrs Melinda Parkinson in the Homestead or Ms Stephanne Siberry in the Lilly Pilly Learning Centre.
