UMelb: Queensland information session for prospective students

Tertiary Studies Expo (TSXPO) Brisbane – 1st weekend in Term 3
This is an important event for students in South-East Queensland. It is an opportunity to talk to representatives from Queensland and interstate universities, TAFE Queensland, private colleges, the Defence Force, the Queensland Police Service, Gap Year programs and other education and training organisations about their courses and career pathways. The expo will be held from 10 am – 4 pm on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July 2019 at the Royal International Convention Centre, RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane. ACU: VET qualifications and ACU entry
Student who complete Year 12 and complete a Certificate III qualification at school will be assigned two selection ranks by QTAC for ACU course preferences: their ATAR and their Certificate III derived rank. Applicants will be considered on their highest selection rank for entry into ACU. Some exceptions may apply to courses with additional entry requirements. It should be noted that Certificate III qualifications are not accepted for ranking in any other circumstance, i.e. non-school leavers.

Bond: Explore your future in a day at Bond University
Bond University will open its campus throughout the year to provide Year 11 and 12 students with the opportunity to experience what life is like at Bond both inside and outside of the classroom. From dissecting a sheep's heart in medical laboratories, to learning how to trade on the stock exchange, to watching a live courtroom demonstration, to building models in the new architecture building, students will experience an interactive and intimate view into the programs offered at the University. The following experience days will be held in August:
Bond: University Student for a Semester program
Year 11 and 12 students participating in this program can experience life as a university student as well as get a head start on their university studies before they finish high school. A pass in a Student for a Semester subject may provide credit towards a Bond undergraduate degree. In addition, students who successfully complete two subjects will be eligible for direct admission into most Bond degree programs at the end of their Year 12 studies. Some course restrictions do apply. Applications for the September 2019 semester will open on Friday 12 July 2019. Information for the September semester will be on the Bond website shortly.

Griffith is offering a limited number of sponsored places for students in Years 11 and 12 to attend Integrity 20. Integrity 20 gathers top minds from Australia and around the world to examine and discuss some of our greatest global challenges. This event will be held from 8.30 am – 4 pm on 24 to 26 October 2019 at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, South Bank. GU: Subject adjustment factors
Griffith also awards subject adjustments for Senior subjects and university courses successfully completed in high school that require a high level of skill and knowledge.
As a current Year 12 student, you can be awarded an adjustment of 2 ranks per subject, including GUESTS courses, up to a maximum of 6 ranks. This includes Year 12 applicants currently undertaking their External Senior studies.

Hands on STEM with Real Engineers for Year 11 and 12 Students
Year 11 and 12 students are invited to discover what the ‘E’ in STEM is about. JCU: Applications Forms plus QTAC application required when applying for some JCU courses
If you are a domestic student or international student, selection for the courses listed below is based on a combination of a written application and academic results. Medicine applicants may also be invited to attend an interview. In addition to applying through QTAC, applicants must submit an application form to the JCU Division of Tropical Health and Medicine by post or in person to the enrolment officer at the Student Centre, Townsville Campus.
