The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra

We don’t have to chase extraordinary moments, they happen each and every day in our community, if we are paying attention.

If there was ever a week to celebrate extraordinary moments, it is this week – the Junior School musicale Le Petit Cirque, the Business Industry Dinner, the launch of our driver safety simulators that hit news rooms all around Australia, Junior School concerts, APS Athletics Carnival, filming of The Winton Centre, debating, excursions and Interhouse Ball Games.

The effort and organisation that goes into ensuring that all of these events run smoothly is phenomenal and we could not do it without the extraordinary staff and families that we are so fortunate to have here at A.B. Paterson College!

With fatigue starting to set in for our students, families and staff as many prepare to wind down into the holidays, we become vulnerable and must dig deeper than we ever thought possible, practising our values and choosing courage over comfort as we make these extraordinary moments happen over and over again, for the greater good of our community.

So, thank you for always putting in that little extra each and every day, by showing up, plugging in and for being who you are.

It is in these moments of vulnerability that the extraordinary moments occur!

Director of Community Relations and Development
