FIND YOUR FIESTA… IN SPAIN 2019!!!
The Languages Faculty is planning a cultural tour of Spain, departing early December 2019. This tour will visit many of Spain’s historical and cultural sites, which includes travel to some of the most beautiful cities such as Barcelona, Gerona, Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Madrid. In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience major tourist attractions in the country, such as The Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Guell, Monserrat, The Alhambra Palace, The Prado Museum and The Royal Palace, just to name a few. During the tour, a visit to a bull fight museum and bullring are included, as well as enjoying a delightful Flamenco Show with a typical Spanish dinner. Students will have the opportunity to taste the most delicious Spanish cuisine, such as Paella, Tortilla Española, Tapas and Churros. For those interested in football, a visit to the Barcelona Football Club Museum, including a Camp Nou experience has also been included.
Application to participate in the tour will be open to all students in Years 8-11 in 2019. Although students do not need to be formally studying Spanish at our College, those with a strong interest in European history and culture are encouraged to apply. An information evening is planned for Term 1 2019, and application forms will be available from the Languages Faculty early next year. Spots on the tour will be limited, therefore, prompt return of the application form will be required.
