Primary Schools Netball Cup

This year the Primary Schools Netball Cup was played in Bundaberg on the 15th and 16th of September.  Our players, staff and parents spent the first day of the school holidays heading north – along with 83 other schools – to participate in the State Netball competition.

Our A team finished 18th and B team finished 54th.  Congratulations to both teams on an excellent achievement.  The girls improved immensely throughout the term and really lifted to play their best netball at the carnival.  Many teams commented on the outstanding sportsmanship and team spirit shown by our players throughout the carnival.

A team:

Sarah Alle, Jessica Belinha, Leilani Bultitude, Aya El-Ghobashy, Jess Harrison, Holly Jennings, Isabella Karabouloukis, Zoe Mikael, Ellie Sinclair and Summer van der Helm.

Coach: Miss Wallis

Manager: Mrs Willoughby

B team:

Zoe Cannon, Holly Ferguson, Chilli Fitzgerald, Imogen Game, Sarah Gordon, Aliyah Jamal, Jessica Tuesley, Emelia Wedemeyer and Eva Ziukelis.  Special mention to Gorgia McLean who trained with the team but was unable to attend the carnival.

Coaches: Mrs Fitzgerald and Mrs Tuesley

Manager: Miss Kirwan

A big thank you to parents Julie Fitzgerald and Danielle Tuesley for their coaching and encouragement at training sessions and the carnival.  Thank you to our bus driver and motivator, Mr Taylor and to Mrs Willoughby and Miss Kirwan for their organisation and managing efforts.  Also, a special thank you to Year 12 student, Annabelle Lawrie for her coaching, and enthusiasm to inspire our young netballers at training sessions.
