APS Netball Finals Results

On Friday, 8 June, saw the wrap up of the APS netball season, with all senior teams taking place in the APS finals.

Congratulations to all teams who played off and secured a top 4 position. A special mention to the Year 8B team who finished with 2nd overall, after a strong fight against All Saints Anglican School in the final. Unfortunately, it was not our day in the Open A and B play offs against Coomera Anglican College for 3rd and 4th positions. The Open A girls pulled it back, to be within one goal before Coomera Anglican College ran away with it after a couple of turnovers. The game was the final APS netball game for Captain, Annabelle Lawrie, and Co-captain, Jessica McDonald. Both girls have an abundance of talent and knowledge of the game, which we have been fortunate to have in our netball program over the past 3 – 5 years. They have a bright future in the game and we look forward to watching them develop as players in the Queensland State Netball League and Queensland Age teams.
