Tahlia eyes off the World Championships

“I am forever grateful for what A.B. Paterson College has done for me.”
Tahlia Dilkes – Year 10

Year 10 student Tahlia Dilkes is achieving her sporting dreams so rapidly, she is now having to shift the goal posts.

You may have heard of Tahlia’s massive medal haul at the recent Regional, State and National Pool Rescue Championships.

Then came an email she had long been dreaming of, confirming her selection in the 24-person Australia Youth Pool Rescue Squad.

Tahlia has now been chosen as one of only 10 athletes to compete, as part of the Australian Youth Development Team, at the New Zealand National Pool Rescue Championships in October.

My goal now is to race the best I can in New Zealand and hopefully get selected for the World Surf Life Saving Championships next year, to represent Australia,” Tahlia said.

“I wanted to say a massive thank you to the entire school for all their continued support.”

Tahlia, you have done your College proud, and will no doubt do our country proud. Best of luck in New Zealand!
